National Education Policy 2020 – Transformative or Disruptive?

The National Education Policy 2020 introduced sweeping changes: a 5+3+3+4 school structure, mother-tongue based instruction up to Class 5, multidisciplinary higher education, and the abolition of M.Phil. courses. Implementation varies widely across states. While some laud it as visionary, educators and students in several states have raised concerns about feasibility and resource gaps.

Mother-tongue instruction is a great idea in theory, but what about children of migrant workers who move between states? Their language changes every few years.

Abolishing M.Phil was a mistake. It was an important bridge between Masters and PhD, especially for students who weren't sure about full doctoral commitment.
